"Deep yet paradoxically ethereal, pure nose that reels off racy strawberries, blueberries, brambly fruit, hawthorn, hibiscus and a hint of graphite and chalk. While this was aged in Burgundy barrels, you’d barely find any oak spice. So much fruit here, yet it is pure and delineated at the same time. The tannins are really refined and precise on the even, medium- to full-bodied palate. Long and broad finish. This will not tire you as you finish the full bottle. Hard to believe that this is cabernet sauvignon and merlot, but this seems to be terroir waving the wand thanks to more rainfall in the vineyards of Xiao Ling.
