“The vineyards providing the fruit for this blend were planted in 1987 for the Sauvignon Blanc and 1997 for the Semillon. There is a small percentage of the wine which has been fermented in French oak barrels in order to enhance the texture and complexity of the wine. A shining pale green/lemon hue here. There is a soft tropical nose with spices, herbs, peaches, passionfruit and mango. The extra time here has allowed the wine to soften and come together. A gentle texture here, but with a fine line of acidity. Guava notes emerge on the palate. A wine of medium length for enjoying over the next year or two.”
